Program Description:
ABC Studio (Architecture in Barcelona and Chicago)


Two weeks BCN/ Five weeks Chicago
Dates: BCN                 June 8-20 
            Traveling time June20-21
           Chicago           June 24- July 30

A seven-week studio (6 credit hours) focusing on urbanism and/or housing (affordable, or simply collective housing).  This would begin with two weeks in Barcelona followed by 5 weeks in Chicago. It would be led in Barcelona by Prof. Sara Bartumeus with the assistance of Prof. Alejandro Lapunzina and in Chicago by Prof. Patricia Saldana-Natke and her Urban Works team. The program also includes the participation of special guests in lectures/presentations, both in Barcelona and Chicago.  The students will visit relevant sites in Barcelona and Chicago as part of their academic activities.
