Program Description:

IMPORTANT: Only complete this application if you have already been accepted into the Illinois in Vienna Programs by your home university.

The Illinois in Vienna Programs are run through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign offers a combination of the German language and Austrian and German culture courses taught by resident IiVP staff combined with course options taught in English and German at local universities. Students can enroll in courses at University of Vienna and IiVP Program Core Courses at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU).

A full-time on-site resident director and a program assistant support students academically through course selection and enrollment, as well as provide student life support throughout the program duration. Support includes pre-departure and onsite orientations, housing coordination, excursions, health and safety assistance, and advising on volunteer placements. Student internships are available in a range of industries during the academic year, and Illinois in Vienna staff support students as they apply for these opportunities. 

Vienna is the historic capital of the multinational Habsburg Empire, a melting pot of language and cultures, and the crossroads between East and West.
Salzburg, Prague, Budapest, and Munich are only a few hours away, while a day's train ride takes you to Venice or Paris.
