DESCRIPTION

K.U. Leuven's Vlerick business school, chartered in 1425, is the leading business school in Belgiunm and was ranked 10th worldwide in the Financial Times in 2009. Vlerick specializes in entrepreneurship, doing business in Europe, and corporate social responsibility. Classes are taught in either Dutch or English. Vlerick is accredited by the AACSB.

Leuven is a dynamic city surrounded by breathtaking countryside. It is small enough (35,000 residents within the old city walls, plus 30,000 students), safe, vibrant, and an architectural treasure, full of student life, art, intellect and an active nightlife. By train, Leuven is 20 minutes from Brussels, 2 hours from Paris and 3 hours from London.

HOUSING

We have a limited number of housing spots available in the Residentie Monseigneur Karel Cruysberghs, which is located 500 meters from the Leuven city center and 500 meters from the business building. Cruysberghs is on the bank of the Dijle river.

 APPLICATION PROCESS

Apply on-line at www.studyabroad.illinois.edu by February 15th to study abroad the following fall and by September 15th to study abroad during the following spring.

Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

This program is not open to freshmen, and it is strongly recommended that students in their last semester not participate, because their graduation will be delayed.
