DESCRIPTION

Bocconi is the leading business and economics institutions in Italy and one of the top-ranked business schools in Europe. Bocconi is a private business school, which was founded in 1902 and has over 10,000 students. Bocconi has exchanges with 17 of the top 20 undergraduate business programs in the US.

Milan, with a population of 1,300,000 is a main transportation hub in Europe and has 3 international airports, It is one of the top financial, fashion and modern design capitals of Europe. Milan is famous for its architecture and art and has many art galleries and art institutes. Milan is also home to the famous LaScala Opera house and the magnificent Duomo cathedral.

Bocconi also offers an optional, 4-week Italian language course for a fee. The course will not transfer back to Illinois.

HOUSING

Bocconi offers dorms that are available on a first-come first-served. Becauses of this, students are not guarenteed housing. Students who haven't been assigned a place in a Bocconi dorm will be provided with a list of private accommodations.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Apply on-line at www.studyabroad.illinois.edu by February 15th to study abroad the following fall and by September 15th to study abroad during the following spring.

Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

This program is not open to freshmen, and it is strongly recommended that students in their last semester not participate, because their graduation will be delayed.
