DESCRIPTION

UCD is Ireland's largest university with approximately 20,000 students. It is AACSB accredited. The Quinn School of Business was established in 1994 and is ranked as the best business school in Ireland. All students are required to take the course, "The Making of Modern Ireland."

A study abroad student at the Quinn School of Business, UCD joins the largest business school in Ireland, taking part in all aspects of academic and social life in their extensive campus while experiencing life in the thriving modern European city of Dublin. Today the College has a population of 20,000 students, and is situated at Belfield, about 3 miles to the south of downtown Dublin. Dublin has a population of 1 million people. The campus occupies a beautifully landscaped 350 acre site, which provides a striking setting for the University. Please note that this is NOT an exchange program, so the costs are higher.

HOUSING/FOOD

The campus at Belfield provides accommodations for over 1,900 students in three, four and five bed roomed self-catering apartments. These apartments are fully equipped but it is necessary to bring your own "kitchen/tableware" items or to buy them through the Accommodation office. A pillow and duvet are provided, but you must bring your own bed linen, towels etc.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Apply by February 15th to study abroad the following fall and by September 15th to study abroad the following spring.

Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

This program is not open to freshmen, and it is strongly recommended that students in their last semester not participate, because their graduation will be delayed.
