DESCRIPTION

BI is rapidly growing and has a new, state-of-the-art facility. The BI trademark is the most well-known trademark in all of Norway. The Norwegian School has an International Student Group which plays a large role helping international students feel welcome.

Oslo has approximately 618,000 inhabitants and has been called the Peace Capital. Norway in the summer offers green valleys, white glaciers, waterfalls and deep blue fjords, which can been seen from BI, providing breathtaking scenery for any visitor or sporting enthusiast. Visitors from all over the globe are coming to Norway in increasing numbers to experience the country's unspoiled nature and to breathe its fresh air. Winter sports are of important to Norwegians. Oslo is a very safe and clean European city and is a must for cross country skiing enthusiasts.BI offers a non-credit Norwegian language course to exchange students for a fee.

HOUSING

All exchange students are guaranteed housing , and the cost is attractive relative to the local prices. Housing is within 20-25 minutes from campus by public transportation. For sporting enthusiasts, Kringsjå dormitory,  is next to a cross country ski track and a lake.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Apply by February 15th to study abroad for the following fall and by September 15th to study abroad the following spring.

Minimum GPA of 3.0 /4.0.

This program is not open to freshmen, and it is strongly recommended that students in their last semester not participate, because their graduation will be delayed.
